At approximately 4:30 PM on Monday, October 7, 2024, I was informed by Commander Tafea, Mr. Ketio Willie, at the Police Station in Tanna about a planned legal awareness event at Imlao Village in South Tanna. This event coincided with the Tafea Day celebration hosted at Imlao Village. The police team extended a verbal invitation to the Public Solicitors Office to join the awareness initiative.

I accepted the invitation and accompanied the police officers to Imlao Village. Upon our arrival at the Tafea Day celebration venue, we were warmly welcomed by the Area Administrator.

Following the welcome ceremony, we proceeded with the legal awareness program. The police officers delivered an informative session focusing on actions prohibited under the Road Traffic Act.

I was also given the opportunity to contribute to the legal awareness initiative, where I addressed the prohibitions outlined in the Dangerous Drugs Act, specifically discussing the topic of marijuana.

The event concluded successfully, and we returned to Lenakel town in South West Tanna.
