On 14 October 2026, officers from the Office of the Public Solicitor attended a half-day Copilot training session held at the Vanuatu Law Reform Commission Conference Room. The training was facilitated by Mr. Danny Smith, who travelled from Australia to deliver the session.
The training provided participants with valuable insights into the purpose and practical use of Microsoft Copilot. As an artificial intelligence (AI) tool, Copilot is designed to assist users by providing guidance, information, and support in carrying out their daily tasks more efficiently.
For the Office of the Public Solicitor, Copilot is a valuable resource that can support lawyers and staff in conducting legal research, preparing submissions, drafting documents, and accessing information more effectively.
The training highlighted how the technology can enhance productivity, improve the quality of work, and assist officers in delivering legal services more efficiently.
The Office of the Public Solicitor appreciates the opportunity to participate in this training and looks forward to incorporating Copilot into its daily operations to strengthen its service delivery and professional capabilities.
